Just caught up with the thread and the developments of the handheld device. Exciting times ahead! I guess the million dollar question for me is will the device work with our ecu's here in the UK?

Guys I wanted to confirm that I selected the right options when I placed my order for the OBD tune:

[Model Year:2013]
[RR Racing Intake:No]
[De-catted Manifold:Yes]
[Exhaust:Yes]
[Headers:Yes]
[Stock Airbox:Yes]
[Intake Tube:No]
[Oxygen Sensor:No]
[Rev Limit:6800 rpm (stock)]

The only two options I'm confused about are the following:

- De-Catted Manifolds? I selected Yes as I have headers installed. Is this correct? because there's also another option for Headers installed. so I'm confused.

Is De-Catted manifolds basically the same as aftermarket headers?

- Oxygen Sensor: I selected No as I am running the headers with no O2 simulators or anything to trick the car into not throwing any codes. so Is this correct?

If you are running race headers (no cats) then you should check "yes" for oxygen sensor CEL delete. Your car will throw codes, I am really surprised it hasn't already?

His car is not US spec. As I recall, he installed the headers without installing an O2 simulator and has never had a CEL for catalyst efficiency. So for him, it makes no difference. The software image may contain a better way of eliminating the secondary O2 fault CEL.

Was the shipment of the OBD Tune delayed? I saw that the pre order expected to release went from March 16th to March 23rd now.

The tune is not NOS compatible. Discussed a few pages back, try a search.

I'm pretty sure you use NOS with the tune. The only way to do it safe is to DYNO Tune it. Have your local tuner work with RR-RACING and magic will happen.

A question for Rafi, to bench flash or OBD port flash? I live in NY 110 miles or little over 2hr drive from RR racing so I can drive to RR racing and have you bench flash ecu and be back on road the same day. Or go OBD port route amd have flexibility of being able updated tune with ease, espespecially all updates that will be coming through over next year as you continue to develop tuning option such as your latest tuned intake and tb combo. What are pros and cons of two ways to download tune. Is bench tune the more stable format or is there No difference between two? Or option 3 drive down get bench flash and pick up OBD tool and have ability to do updates without driving to RR racing.
Thanks
David

I think you nailed the pros and cons pretty well. You save about $150 with the bench flash, and it is very stable and reliable way of flashing the ECU, but with the handheld OBD flasher, you have the flexibiliy of updating the tune yourself.
