Nothing but cost. There is no downside to reducing corner weight.

The slotted version is a little bit heavier than the drilled, maybe 1/2 lb only.
We actually tested the drilled version extensively on the track, and it is very durable, but for track use the slotted is better.
I would say that for predominantly street use, the drilled will be just as durable as slotted.
Yes, RCF now uses slotted rotors.

What pads have you tested with the two piece drilled front rotors and titanium shims? Any fitment issues?
Are you running the Wilwood four piston rear setup on your car? I would like to hear more about that.

We use Winmax pads, anything from W2 to W5 compound depending if its street or track.
And yes, we run our Wilwood 4 piston upgrade on the back.
Very shortly, we will have 2-piece rotors for the rear as well.

Good stuff Rafi!
I'd be interested in a package deal once you can offer the 2-piece rotors for the rear?
Maybe a complete package option? 2-piece rotors front and rear, titanium shims, Winmax pads and the Wilwood 4-POT rear setup?
Be nice to buy the complete setup in one hit.

My guess would be these would work fine with the stock setup.
I'm sure Rafi will confirm for us at some point though.

According to the RR website, these are for front brakes only, and it just says they complement their 2-piece rotors, or any high performance brake pads.
My guess would be these would work fine with the stock setup.

I put some pretty good heat into my Project Mu HC+800 front pads at my recent track day (so much, they're no longer blue).

I'm happy to report that the Lexus logos on my calipers are still white, so I think the titanium shims do help. We'll see how long that lasts as I get faster.
