I noticed there are different prices depending on how many sessions. What I would like to know is how long is each session likely to be?

I am a beginner so I will be signing up with instructor, but I don't want to sign up for 2 and then realize its over in 10 mins or sign up for 4 and wear myself out before I can get all 4 in. Thanks.

I've driven with HOD, sessions are usually 20-25min depending on how many groups there are. I would definitely sign up for 4, that is usually how many runs you get in one day when you do HPDE. Just signed up as well, see you guys there!

Guys, we have only few more days till the end of the initial registration period (August 9) for the instructor sessions. We still need more people to register, or Hands on Driving will not be able to allocate enough instructors to our group.

Please note that we re-opened the registration. Hot on Driving was able to allocate few more instructors, so we are extending the registration until they fill up! However, please register as soon as possible -- they still have limited number of instructors.

I just got back from vacation and want to sign up, but only if it's possible to purchase supplemental insurance. I highly doubt my regular insurance would cover an incident on the track. Does anybody know if it's possible to purchase supplemental insurance from the track day organization and if so, how much is it?

For those who want to just come for a meet, please register as well (entrance and lunch registration is $20). We need to start getting count for food.

I know that NJMP sells insurance for track events (it is not cheap). I will find out for this event and post a reply.

ZaxF is right -- Hooked on Driving recommending to check Lockton Motorsports for insurance http://locktonmotorsports.com/product/hpde-insurance

However, since this is not a racing event, but merely driving on the track, your insurance may cover it. HOD recommends to check with your insurance carrier first.

I wish you could organize event like this in SoCal as its seems that huge amount of ISFs are located here.
The El Toro base would be an awesome place.
Keeping my hopes up for one day.......
