Nice. Good to see this continue to move forward. Any idea of a guesstimate on how long the R&D takes on a project like this? (months?, year or more?)

It will take several months at least. I will keep everyone updated as we work on it.

You guys will never know how a Chinese is eagering to a have more than 250 IS in Chinese market.
never mind a SC kits, or a secondhand 350 with 8at powertrain.

the next gen of IS will be equipped with 2.0T(with approximately 245HP and 350NM) and 8AT trans.

I'd definitely be all over this once it's completed and of course seeing how it turns out when other people have used it

LOL! No way man! 6k for only 50hp? No, it needs to be at least 100hp, 100whp for me to drop that kind of dough. But I am definitely on board and want this supercharger. I'm on board 200%!

Do you use any particular piggyback branded ecu for these kits & if so will software be available for additional tuning. I believe our premium fuel in Australia is a higher octane than yours.

Alternatively, could the kit be purchased less piggyback ecu if I am already running my own piggyback?

We are still in development on the tuning side. The idea is to have the tuning available for non Supercharged Lexus vehicles also, but I can't say for certain at this time.

I don't know a lot about the Lexus/Toyota engines....... I had a 2011 WRX before the Lexus. Over 3 years with mods I added about 100 HP at the crank, raised boost from 14 to 21, pro-tuned, took a chance and did not change the internals. About a month after the last mod, a new bigger intercooler, at around 40k miles, boom, piston ring in cylinder 4 destroyed.

Can the IS 350 engine (2GR-FSE) handle 100 extra HP without replacing the internals and how well do you think will this engine hold up to a supercharger over time, even under low boost?

They are very different engines and Toyota builds great motors. There are a lot of factors that go into Forced Induction reliability. Ensuring the tuning is done properly and not too aggressively is a big part of it. With the VQ motors from Nissan we haven't had any issues with longevity, so I don't see the Toyota 2GR motor having problems. We wouldn't start this project if there were major concerns.

The Lexus IS350 getting 3D mapped for production parts design. We will use the data to create all the mounting brackets, how to run all the piping, etc. Engineer + Fero Arm = fun day
