I am planning to buy a key fob for my LS460 on eBay and was wondering if there was a dealership in LA or OC area that is willing to program them. Called Longo and they said couldn't do it unless I bought it direct from them.

I would try Westminster. IIRC, people have had good experiences with their Service Dept. there.

Dealerships aren't too welcoming of "aftermarket" products that aren't purchased through them. What some local people did was to take their car to a local lock smith and get it programmed there for a lot cheaper than the dealer charges.

Tin Locksmith (Westminster and Euclid) did it for around $80.
The whole package (new key, programing and cutting key blade) is $150

Can anyone recommend a dealer/locksmith in the valley who can program an oem key fob. Lexus of Valencia couldn't program mine even though i confirmed it was the correct part number from sewell

So according to Tin Locksmith, he sees some issues with 07 Lexus'. If the battery voltage is too low it wont read and program the key. I have to come back to him since he was super busy today and couldn't move cars around to use the jumper cables for the extra power I needed but he does do it for 180 with the key fob. Thanks for the heads up guys.

My friend at Lexus did it for free.. takes them only a few minutes to do it.

The 180 includes the key fob which overall is pretty good.
