just throwing it out, IMO I personally prefer small groups or solo shots but if group shots utilizing the space available can be done (however may be time consuming) that would be cool too. Line shots get a bit bland after a while and there's only so much you can do with them (I completely stopped shooting things like meets and Cars and Coffee due to that reason).
To SD people: Lets get a caravan going

I like solo shots as well, two cars at most. However I do like the idea of meeting up with some ClubLexus members; it'd be interesting to find a place/parking lot to accommodate all of us without disrupting anything or having too much human traffic. I'm staying tuned

Your idea seems like a great one. But I didn't get all that from your FIRST proposal. If you had posted the picture along with the idea, maybe ISFpat would not have been so.. abrupt about parking fee (correct me if I'm wrong)
Lot of the members were pushing for OC area since most of us who replied are from this region (along with few from SD).
I understand you may be from LA area and that location may be more convenient for you, but many members who replied are from south OC so it made sense for him to come down. he did offer us shoot, none of us asked for it.
According to his replies, it seems he travels often for shoots and did not seem like an issue.
But including myself and few that I know who replied, would gladly travel to HIS choice of location for shoot if we were available.
Its great members are throwing ideas, but hope we can be more mature about it.

Even if we did pay a fee for that open beach location, we are not guaranteed a "beach view". I would make a strong assumption that most cars who park there park closest to the beach.. which restricts us from having a good "shoot". Anyways, I am up for anything.

What's wrong with a paid lot, backdrop would be a beach and a potential sunset, screenshot below. 10 bucks to get the scene PLUS it's not loitering (bunch of cars and people walking around in a starbucks lot...reminds me of the Krispy Kreme meeting that got out of hand.
I believe the OP is located closer to LAX, why would he have to drive out to shoot for free? Bring some tables, food and some drinks and you have an actual photo shoot with food and a meet and greet.

Correct, I'm in Westminster. Lol. Like 30-40 minutes from LAX on a no-traffic day. And yes RVCAis250, i'd like all of us to meet, but i'd like a spot where I can take solo shots and all of us can chill. I'll do some scouting this weekend and see what I can come up with.
