Default Need to borrow stock intake for smog!

Anyone around the Irvine area with a stock intake laying around that I could borrow? I need to have my car smogged and my current K&N intake won't pass. I left my old intake in the bay area. :[

I'll drive over and pick it up whenever you're free and I'll return it as soon as I'm done with it!

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys

If you have after market intake now CARP # you won't pass. Most smog check will do visible inspection

If it is an authentic K&N intake kit for your car, it will pass. I'm talking about the whole tubing down to the filter. If it is, I can provide you the CARB#(California Air Resource Board), PM me year, make, and model.

If it is a knock off downpipe with just a K&N filter, it will definitely fail the VISUAL inspection.

The only intake kits or any aftermarket parts that Pass the Visual inspection are the ones with a CARB number. These big manufacturers dish out the money to have them legal, street approved.

Providing the CARB# without a sticker is useless. They are not gonna pass you.

True but if the Technician who is inspecting the vehicle is experienced, he will Pass it if the part is legitimate. Providing the CARB# cuts down the time in researching the part further.

I had my share of vehicles that come in for inspection with aftermarket parts that had no sticker or stamp, some Pass some Fail.
