I've purchased an unit from Asia that does 1080p.

a few pointers..
- Tommy from Musicbox doesn't really install them. I think he could, but it's not something he does normally the last time I called him. If someone has a great installed please pass him along.
- in asia it's common for you to mount this directly under the rear-view mirror. In California this resulted in a warning from the nice officer in Walnut. You can legally mount this in the bottom left front of the driver. Or find a unit small enough not to get notice from the po po.
- hit and run in California has sky-rocketed because of the cost of traffic tickets and forced insurance that many people don't carry.

is it possible to mount a non screen camera on the opposite end of my rearview? i definitely feel like having a dash cam is worth it if anything happened

bought this for my mom's car and works fairly well. $10 cheaper if you buy it on ebay from the same seller. works well and you can see sample vids on youtube by searching the model name. hope this helps. it is also cheaper than the blackvue that everyone else is getting on other forums.
