Question About Correctable Violation Ticket
I just got a correctable violation ticket and I'm wondering what my options are. The CHP officer wrote me a citation for illegally modified exhaust, no front plate, and tinted front windows.
Basically I want to know if I have to correct these violations or can I just pay a fine for the 3 violations and keep driving my illegally modified vehicle? Or can I fix one item like the front plate and pay a fine for the remaining violations?
Also, the officer forgot to give my driver's license back to me, so now I get to spend a day standing in line at the DMV to get a new license. Yay!

It might be a hassle now, but I'd remove those items and get the front plate on- maybe not drilled, but visibly attached. The fine amount is what will need to be paid once the fix it items have been signed off. It is a far greater penalty if you choose to not have those items corrected. I believe the missing front plate fine alone is $175-200 if you choose not to have it corrected.

yeah my suggestion is to just fix it and pay the 25x3 for each violation. its like 200-300 each violation if you dont fix it.
OR , u can pm me for a secret on how to get it resolved
should he have given u a ticket for the exhaust though if it passes the decibel test?

Thanks for the advice. Looks like by best option is to correct the violations then reviolate my car after if I choose.
PM sent.
My exhaust won't pass the decibel test. I can keep my fsport exhaust, but I would need to put my stock midpipe back on for it to pass.

Front license plates are THE easiest money maker now dayz... anywhere you go, you will get cited (LAX and most city run properties).
Get it all signed off, then you're good to go !!

^Yeah, I have that tow hook mount from Rho Plate. I've had to deal with the front license plate before and maybe I'll leave it on this time. I've been planning on putting my stock midpipe back on, so this citation is just making me do it sooner. The biggest hassle is going to be removing my tint and then putting it back on...and getting a new drivers license from the DMV.
The officer pulled me over for my exhaust and then immediately asked me if I've been drinking or had any drugs in the car. When I told him no, he then began walking around my car to see what he can write me up for and made me roll up my windows to check the tint. He also said my headlights were illegal, but he didn't put that on the citation, so I guess I'm off the hook for that one. I have 6000K HIDs.
