UCSD

I think what happened was they loosened all attempted to jack up the car and couldn't fit the jack under caus it was too low

I just need new lugs tho from someone local (SD) i can even buy them if possible so I can drive my car...

Reposting what I posted on a certain facebook page...

no.1 reason to have a torque wrench and use it EVERY TIME.

You should switch the nut at the 3 o clock position to the 9 o clock position to help distribute load while you figure out replacements. properly torqued they'll be fine for the short term.

Also, no, lug nuts falling off do not make a loud noise necessarily, in act the bulk o the time they do not.

When replacing them make sure to use toyota's OEM Mag-style lugnuts, acorn/tapered seat lugs won't work right at all.

I highly doubt this was an attempted theft, simply because if they've got a wrench, a socket, and a hammer, they'd have had your wheels in about a minute per corner, and OEM wheels from a 7-14 year old lexus are worth little to nothing, especially when hot.

maybe they were just missing lug nuts and were too cheap to purchase them?
