Default Nwport Lexus & South County Lexus - Reference Check

Hi guys,

I am in the market for a new Lexus (Finally) and wanted to know about a reference check.

I read the posts, that Newport is good on pricing, bit the Financing guys you need to be a little careful with since they tack on hidden charges.

If you don't feel comfortable posting online, please PM me.
Can you commont on your experience with them.. either good or bad.

i don't know anyone at newport or tustin. when i was shopping for a car i priced at them before and they were on the high side. i have been going to longo and having a good contact never hurts and i am always well taken care of. on financing, i think it always makes sense to look through on all the charges, even with longo i do

It makes sense to delve into the detail of financing anything/everything. Car, Home, School Loans, etc. If a dealership gets away with "any hidden charges", that's really the consumer not taking the time to read the detail/fine print.

Got my IS from South County. Great people. Bought mine from Ali, he's fantastic. Definitely would recommend.

Nothing but great things to say about Newport Lexus. Friendly staff (not pushy at all), beautiful dealership, great service department.

Look for Chris Senesac if you're looking to purchase from Newport.

i thought Newport was just ok.... They did not want to talk numbers with me over the phone or through emails. They did give me an internet quote, but any more discussion about it would have to be in person. They said they can match or beat anybody else's numbers, but when i gave them Longo's numbers, they said no way. Longo had the lowest prices around, at least for me when i was shopping a few months back. Westminster and Santa Monica both did me wrong. They upped the price that we agreed on over the phone when i walked in to sign paperwork. What a waste of gas and time. At least Newport told me no over the phone. lol

Tustin was very bad to us. Last year they did a bait and switch on me. I almost punch the guys. He wasted 4 hrs of my family time.

Well... Newport Lexus wants to "run my credit before discussing prices"... WOW!!!!...The nerve of the sales guy.

Ok, I just contacted Ali at Southcoast. I will see him Monday.

We had a pretty bad experience with Newport Lexus. They told us to come down to negotiate a price on a car we were interested in since it was the last day of the month. Turns out, they didn't even have the car on their lot. They weren't very negotiable on the price. I'll leave out names out of respect....

We ended up going to South County Lexus and they ended up giving us a much better deal.

Whatever you do.... NEVER trade in your car when buying from dealer... It will interfere with the overall value of your new car price.... unless you don't really care about the trade in car. You can always get at least $2,000 or more value if U sell it yourself separately.... Tips that I got from my cousin who work at a dealer.

Ali was the worst sales person I have ever dealt with and I buy a lot of cars, I came to look at an is350 fsport when it first came out, I test drove, fell in love with the car, I said lets go over numbers and I come pick up the car tomorrow, He said why talk numbers, I can offer you the car for a thousand bucks and u cant buy today anyways,, so why talk numbers?? WTF so next day I went out to Westminster and bought the car, got a great deal,, and didn't have to deal with ALI,, not everyone buys the car the same day as they drive it, guy is a joke..
