Default Silver miata stolen at cpp

A friends miata was stolen out of cal poly parking structure, this is the second miata.

Keep an eye out for the wheels/rims: 949 racing wheels, 15x9 +36, silver with a machined lip with 225/50/15 falken 912. Report to police if you see the silver miata in the middle of the picture below. Stolen at Cal Poly Pomona, with the steering wheel removed and a lock on the clutch.

****ing CPP and their understaffed security....yet they never fail to give me a parking ticket when I'm 2 minutes over the 30 minute mark.

Honestly, up until this year, I hadn't heard of a single car theft at CPP. My gf goes there, we caught a guy attempting to break into her car. He was caught, and of course security took their sweet time coming over to our aid. He started to run away, and I was about to chase him down before I realized that 1) he didn't break in and mess up her car, so all was fine essentially, and 2) I was still in a soft cast from my ACL reconstruction. Since then, I've been taking her to and from school. All I can say is to lock your ride, keep all valuables out of sight, and park inward, as it takes more effort to have to reverse than to just peel out. I know it sounds like typical advice given, but some people simply cannot be trusted!

Damn that sucks

Steering wheel removed and clutch lock? Sounds like someone knew what they were doing before hand. Probably scoped out the car before actually stealing it. That or flat bed tow truck.

Hope your friend gets his car back Dixon!

It sucks how when you go and park your car at school you expect it to be safe. With all these thefts at CPP, I don't know how anybody could park in fear of having their car stolen. There's no more peace of mind

i dont get why they dont have camera's in the structure would save students a lot of headaches with:

Stolen Car
Stolen Goods
Hit n Run
Vandalism
Structure littering
wreckless driving
proof of whos at fault for accidents
etc
etc..

Sorry to hear that, hopefully you get it back. I've been going to CPP for a while now and there's always cars getting stolen or broken into.

Well the car has been recovered

Info my friend gave

"Hey guys, the car was found in hollenbeck, near the 10/710 freeway. what has been taken; the wheels, stereo, antenna, my steering wheel, front brake rotors and pads , my dress shirts, a few hundred dollars in tools, and a pack of chewing gum. Also all my locks and ignition are fubar'd."
