Cruise > Hard Park : LA! Lets set it up.
So i know meets are the big thing, and taking pics of hard parked cars is in... but why dont we set up a cruise.
Nothing crazy maybe down the PCH to a little meet spot then back. Allows people to drive either way or both.
I know a few of us have some GoPros that need a little action.
Whats everyones thoughts.??

that actually sounds like a good idea, but at the same time opens a lot of liability up. I've gone on several cruises but usually with like 4 or 5 cars, it's hard to keep track of more than that. The biggest cruise i've done was to actually head to a BBQ meet...about 20 cars all lined up in a row to head about 5 miles to where the destination was. If this was organized, count me in. I haven't gone to any meets and would like to, I'm in the market for an exhaust and would def. like to hear some in person.

Its not about keeping a formed line, but rather a crap ton of us rollin together. I picture it now.. 20 fine lexus' rollin down the PCH, GoPros shooting. its like the second coming of awesome.
Figure we could meet at one of the empty lots towards malibu or something. Either way lets get some opinions and an understanding of a head count.

I just moved out here a couple months ago so you guys know whats goin on. Were just big on cruises on the east coast so i figure... the scenery is soooo much nicer out here...why not.
Id say a sunday morning monthly cruise would be sick. maybe last sunday of the month.

Nothing done to the porsche yet. Just started the build right before i moved out here. going to get back at it in a few months. Bought the car for $1K with what apeared to be a blown head gasket. very little rust. White. so far the motors dropped and were ordering parts.

Nice, we picked up ours for around $300 as a roller and picked up another complete parts car for another $300. Good start with the minimal rust, ours had the typical battery tray rust, but it was solid below the tray and just minor areas of rust else where on the body. Good luck on your build. Do you frequent any 914 forums? I'm a regular on www.914world.com, on May 6th there's gonna be an all 914 swap meet out in Riverside. The address is: 2727 Kansas Ave, Riverside, CA., 92507 and gates open @ 6am. Hope to see you there! Great people, low prices on lots of parts, and lots of 914's to oggle at.

Ahh that thing sounds beastly. This is my first euro build so im sticking with all euro parts. Trying to do a GT kit and some 911 parts like suspension etc.
I have to check out 914 forums. i have to admit the cars been sitting in storage for almost a year but we made a build start of june 1st so that may swap meet is right up my alley. Keep me posted on any 914 gatherings around, id love to check em out and get some ideas. not often a guy as young as me builds these so i could use all the advice i can get haha.
