Dixon there was a thread not too long ago about some traffic schools...see which one has an express option and you should be able to get it done still!

Damn you usually gotta sign up a week ahead for those.

All i could find was this one then....

http://ntsi.com/california/californi...raffic-school/

Sure its in class only? Most courts will subsitute the extended online classes for 12 hr in-class ones.

There are some courts that only allow in class traffic school unfortunately.

Here's a question that's traffic school related...

Long story short...Got nailed last night for speeding (20 miles over the speed limit, I can already expect to pay $320+)

But my question is over Traffic school eligibility...I know you're allowed to take traffic school every 18 months...But is it 18 months to the day you were caught (Which was early June of 2010 for me) or from the day you completed traffic school? (Which was early September of 2010) Anyone clear on this? Thanks!

Damn! I just got word that it's from the day you completed traffic school (Sept 2nd 2010 for me) My insurance rates will now be adversely affected.

Okay, Now I'm confused, I'm getting word that the 18 month period is calculated from the date of the violation (Which was early June of 2010 for me) Which is it?

It's 18 months from the day you received the citation in CA

Here's info off the DMV's website:
http://dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d17/vc41501.htm

If you look at (2) it says "If the offense is not alleged to have occurred within 18 months of another offense". Nothing about traffic school.

^^^ Okay cool thanks! That's what I was hoping for...I guess once I receive my citation over the mail, I'll just pay the bail and sign up for traffic school and not worry about my insurance rates being adversely affected.

For those of you who got a traffic ticket, can you appear to court and plead guilty to get a discount and get to take traffic school?

Thats what I somewhat want to do. I got a rolling stop ticket, my brother told me to appear in court ask the judge to lower the fine and then take traffic school. That possible?
