No matter what car you're driving, thieves will steal them if they really want to.

If they post parts on the Internet then it would be easier to catch them..

Yeah but it makes it harder to steal, which will deter some thieves. It's like having a pitbul at your house, it's not 100% proof if someone really really want to break in.

It definately makes your car a bit harder to steal, but It only deters the noob thieves

A professional car thief has no issue with immobilizers. There are ways to defeat them even without a flat bed truck and many codes can be cracked using professional devices. I remember reading an article about how some university students found a way to bypass the immobilizer function used on millions of cars using some not so expensive tools even.

The bottom line is if they want your car, they will get it unforunately

That's unfortunate.
I hope insurance covers the loss and owner has much better luck with his next build!

Okay, so they recovered the kid's car...And since he's dealing with insurance, That means the kid has full coverage...Let's hope the kid's insurance company doesn't screw him over and see if he moves out of the Honda scene from here.

Is he checking craigslist for the parts? That's probably where the parts will end up.

Would be awesome to catch the dumb asses!

I hope his insurance covers a new/used car. Make sure you don't mod the car until you graduate from CPP.

That really sucks man. My heart dropped when my Integra was stolen. I was lucky enough to recover it with minimal damage. Hope you have as good luck as I did. I will keep a lookout.
