Default The stressful day at the yard

So yesterday i went to the junk yard off Milliken on the 60, got there took no tools so wont haul tool for the whole time. i got there, found 3 1st gen GS, one completely totaled, one frontal collision and with a blown engine. I needed the window trims from the good body one, they were perfect, like omfg perfect. No scratches, dents or dings. I went back, got the tools i needed and when i walked up to the car, some guys where on it. working on the front windows, i was starting to walk up to them to say that i needed the trims when one got a prybar and completely tore both trims to bitsto remove the widows i just stood there about cry, they saw me and then i said, "What the f***, i needed the trims..." He just replied, "opps and coninued his reign of destruction on the poor trims... I couldnt find another on so i left, feeling defeted and empty...

I've seen guys ruin parts...suxxx. That's why I started having the local dismantler do searches, it beats the heartache of coming upon some of these. I pay abit more but I find it worth it.

Damn that sucks bro... What a jerk! Well you still got 4 junk yards to go. 10 fwy and riverside, 9th and waterman off the 10 fwy. Hillside off 60 fwy and pyrite. And the last is slover and I think it's cedar st. off the 10 fwy as well. These are the five I go too. Good luck finding your trims.

All those Pick-a-Part, you remove the part junk yards are basically 2nd class junk yards. If you want first rate/insurance quality used parts, car-part.com is a good place to start like Kerry mentioned. Otherwise you're wasting your time.

Haha, nooo I'm not that evil, although a well aimed rock to the window would of worked wonders. :P I'm gonna go again this week end, just to spend time. You will never know what you find. Once I found a pink quartz rock the size of a soccer ball, I sold it for 500 :3

Sorry for your troubles. Years ago I went there for something else, found 4 really nice allows from a 944, bought for $100, turned around the next day-$600.00! if you ever need tires avoid that tire shop in the same parking lot. They slit two brand new run flats off my SC430 a while back along with other issues.

Well, I need to call first to find out if they had changed out the cars, or there would be really no reason to go if the same cars will be there.
