Okay, I can see where the confusion might've came in...Toyota does use factory red coolant while transmission fluid is roughly the same color when brand new...

what is done is done, there is no point in calling his wife unnecessary names and assuming her intelligence. I'm not going to say any names but everyone does make mistakes. The best thing you can and should do is flush the cooling system, before you pay an arm and a leg. If you must bring it to a shop to replace parts, find a dependable local one that would work with you in replacing the most necessary parts instead of all of them, before you bring it to a dealership.
