Prolong it. Most of the tickets that officers give out are accumulated on the same day. Or same week, to make it easier for them. Like everyone says, if the police officer does not show up, then you have a very good chance in winning.

i will definitely keep u guys posted. I just saw the speed limit sign, but its rather small, plus it is behind a few trees. There is no way people will catch that sign right off the fwy.

I'd check out http://www.helpigotaticket.com/

One trick is that speed limits not (except for Federal aka freeway, etc...) are not set by cities, states, or bureaucracy but by us, the drivers. Caltrans and other agencies literally track how fast traffic goes, and if 40 mph on that street during that time is the average, that's safe because you are going with the traffic so if the sign says less, it's an illegal speed trap. You can request for these reports through these agencies, one way is calling whoever gave you the ticket (city, CHP, etc...), and have them point you on where to get the report. People have gotten away with double the speed limit (70 in a 35 zone) because of this, and it's right too because obviously some posted speed limits are ludicriously low.

Edit: Here's the guide directly -> http://www.helpigotaticket.com/speed/stepbystep.html
Judging by the second paragraph, it applies to you too CVC 22350

regardless if you want to fight the ticket... still have to pay the fine first.. then make a compelling argument and hope the cop doesn't show up on the court date.

Hey what up guys. Wanted to give you guys the ending to this delayed journey. So I filled out the file by declaration form and 3 months later they found me NOT GUILTY. This is freaking awesome. I don't know how or what happened, but maybe it's sometimes better to be lucky than to be skilled.

I avoided a point on my record and I will be getting a refund in 90 days.

Really wanted to thank everyone who added such useful information. First timer at beating a ticket.

If I see u guys at a local meet, I'll make sure to get you guys a boba drink or something

Thanks again everyone! And remember, don't speed in Pasadena...
