so i wonder if this means stickers on my passenger side of the front window is unlawful. any one ???
Theoretically, yes, they're illegal.

Will a cop pull you over for that alone? Most likely not.

If you do get pulled over, will they ticket you for it? Most likely not.

If the cop wants to **** with you, YES, they can give you a ticket for it...

VC 27150 $178 Adequate muffler required

I have an authentic L-Tuned exhaust, and I just recently got a scan of the CA legal certificate that comes with it. I can print it to card stock paper to make the certificate look authentic, but there are no markings/badges on the exhaust itself. Would I still be screwed if a cop tries to ticket me for it?

I will be visiting my mom in the 818 area. It looks like I will have to zip tie my front plate to the lower grill. I've heard that police are more strict in the LA area.

certificate or not, authentic or not.......nothing really matters. If your exhaust noise bothered the cop and he doesn't like you for some reason, he is giving you a ticket. Cops don't get penalize for writing any invalid ticket, so why not? You can try to prove it to whatever agency that is in charge of that later, but the cops have nothing to do with it.

Its "RIde and DIe" straight up ppl!! We all know the consequences of modding or just any upgrade are mostly likely non-street legal.

Cops really have no idea what mod is legal and what is not........if they see something that doesn't look stock to them, they are giving you a ticket. It is very simple.

I had a feeling that it would turn out that way. L-Tuned is pretty quiet, so i probably wouldn't get pulled over for exhaust alone...but I can see a cop adding it on just because he can.

Welcome to California!!!
Do you mind telling me your authority for those fines. The 2011 Uniform Bail and Penalty Schedule differs from what you claim.
