Default 900$ Ticket for Drls, No Front Plate,

Ok so some of you guys probably know i got a ticket for my DRL's, officer also gave me no front plate, and no proof of insurance ( i do have insurance i just didn't have the latest statement )

So i thought ok all fix it tickets, Ill fix the DRLS and get it signed off, and i just realized he shouldnt have given me a no front plate ticket.. i got one 2 weeks earlier..

so today in the mail i get a 900$ Ticket for those 3 Things.

Wtf happen to fix it tickets, its my first time getting busted for DRLS.
I think the cops trying to be a ****, we were going at it for a while but damn.

This same cop in the last 2 months has given me a 500$ Speeding Ticket (My Fault) and no proof of insurance, this was 2 months ago when i DID have proof of insurance he just said he wasn't able to find it.. Wow..
and now the 900$ Ticket.

Just my luck

is there anything i can do??

Can i really get 2 no front plate tickets from in 2 weeks????
He has given me two, and i still have a few weeks left from the other ticket to fix the front plate ticket, but no he just decided to give me another one

Well the total amount is ur bail amount u do not have to pay it. That is for only if u choose not to fix it, go to a local police depart and get it write off for 30 to 50 for each fix it.

Did you show him the previous ticket for the front plates? If you didn't then he can give you another ticket. i believe...

One more thing i was looking at the previous bill i got for the FIRST ticket he gave me..

UNSAFE SPEED
NO FRONT PLATE
NO PROOF OF INSURANCE
Bail amount 516$

If i got my front plate and showed them proof of them insurance will this lower the amount? This ticket looks different then the other one i got.

Yes, go show them your proof of insurance that covers the period you were pulled over and they will lower the amount. As far as front plate though, you can only get that dropped if the cop checked off "fixable" on the ticket. Good luck

Wasn't there a code section that says you are allowed to have yellow lights up front?

yes, but so long as it is not imparing the vision of drivers in the same/opposite flow of traffic. therefore, if the DRL's are too bright or of the wrong color (aside from white and yellow), it would be considered a violation.

the only way that the OP's DRL's would be considered a violation is if the DRL's are powered by an HID kit, considering the amount of light required for the DRL's to impair the vision of other drivers and the way light is reflected out of the DRL/high-beam housing.

having seen pics of the OP's car, and given all the facts so far, i strongly believe that his DRL's are HID's.

That could be the reason... Too bright. Does OP has HID for high beam?

Show them your proof of insurance and the amount should lower A lot. I had a ticket that was around 900 because it was a mix of no proof of insurance and a rolling right. Once it was all said and done I only paid 150.

Yea bro it possible to get two tickets for the same violation. I got a ticket for tinted windows before and the following week i got pulled for another tint violation... i showed the po' my tint ticket from the previous week and she still gave me a ticket...
She told me once the ticket is issued " you have to fix it right away".

Got them both signed off... just a pain with all the paper work...

- When you show proof of your insurance it is reduced to $50. dollar fine for that specific violation.

-- Just get all that ish' signed off, stamped, pay the bail... and be on your way....

SoCal 5-0's are a joke.

DRL's aren't at full wattage;its like High-beams at 1/2 power..To start up a xenon ballast you need full power.
