Default Fix it ticket issue.

Yesterday in Ventura County, I got pulled over by the sheriff's dept and was told he pulled me over for window tint on my windshield, that it appears to be half way down my window. He then wrote me up and explained the procedure to take care of the fix it ticket, by removing the tint strip and goto a police dept and have an officer sign the ticket and mail it in with the paperwork I'll be recieving in a week or so and that I have 30 days to remove it. I signed the ticket and placed it on the seat and later I looked at the ticket and noticed it was written wrong. He marked that it was correctable, then he wrote the vehicle code I infracted and then wrote out the description, which he put "cell phone," then circled it was an infraction. The vehicle code he cited was 26708 (a)(1), which refers to the following: 26708. (a) (1) No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any
object or material placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied
upon the windshield or side or rear windows.

This code has nothing to do with window tint or transparent film, that vehicle code is the following: 26708 (c) Notwithstanding subdivision (a), transparent material may be
installed, affixed, or applied to the topmost portion of the
windshield if the following conditions apply:
(1) The bottom edge of the material is at least 29 inches above
the undepressed driver's seat when measured from a point 5 inches in
front of the bottom of the backrest with the driver's seat in its
rearmost and lowermost position with the vehicle on a level surface.

My question is what do I do? To me the ticket is invalid or I guess I could say that I had a cell phone holder attached to the middle of the windshield and that I removed it, in order to get the fix it ticket signed off. Any legal experts out there or peace officers.
