Dear Valued Longo Toyota Guests,
This morning, Toyota Motor Sales announced that they have a permanent fix for the sticky accelerator recall. This is great news as Toyota said that dealers should start receiving parts for this recall by the end of the week. They also mentioned that owners of the affected vehicles should begin receiving notification letters this week.
At Longo, we are planning to extend our hours of operation to accommodate our loyal customer base and will work 24 hours a day, seven days a week if needed. This decision will ultimately depend on parts availability. We will focus on taking care of the vehicles that you are driving before we start repairing the affected vehicles for sale.
Toyota has a long history for their quality, dependability and reliability. Most of you driving Toyotas have never had any quality issues with your vehicle (especially relating to this recent recall). We are extremely confident that Toyota has and will continue to put you, our customer, as their first priority.
Everyone at Longo wants to thank you for your patience and understanding in regards to this matter. We also want to assure those affected by this recall that we will do our best to make the repair process as quick and convenient as possible.

im not sure if all toyota dealerships are doing this to rectify the massive recall campaign, but longo toyota continues its superb customer service by doing this. it takes a lot of man hours to repair the hundreds if not thousands of cars that need a gas pedal fix on any given day. by extending their hours, more can be done, but more importantly, more cars can be driven soon after without any worry about manufacturer defect. though toyota did have a setback with the potentially harmful pedal in the first place, longo toyota is proving that the reliability of the vehicle is not in any harm's way because of the reliability and dependability of the dealer itself. hopefully most if not all of the toyota dealers nationwide will be employing the 24/7 or close to it so that the cars purchased from the beginning of the MY and even some from before are safe to drive again.

my friend is a MBZ tech and he got called out to do toyota recalls in San Diego, the turn around is great. He also tells me the testing afterwards is really good to ensure it is done correctly. He went through 400 cars in 2 days.
