215/35/19 tires on cali roads
Trying to decide on tires for my 19x8 forged wheels (should have gotten 19x9, but these wheels are discontinued already). Tire calculator website suggests running 215/35/19 for better speedo accuracy. However 225 or 235 seem to offer better ride quality and protection. I was looking at the bf goodrich kdw2 for the 215, and advan neovas for the 225,235.
I know this should be in the wheels/tires forum, but just wanted to have socal members' experience. I know you VIP people are running so really thin tires, so really would like to hear from you.
Thanks
Francis

Whoa another Francis! I don't run into too many people with our name. Anyways, I was contemplating going 215 on a wheel width of 9" (which I decided not to). I don't see why 215 wouldn't work on a 8" wheel on CA roads. Right now I'm running 225 on a 9" wheel and my rims are just fine. Just try to be observant with where you're driving and avoid those potholes.
