Default HID Help in Los Angeles 323 anyone?

I just got a 250 and would love to either switch bulbs or do the kit but I would appreciate some help since I am very new to LEXUS.

Define help ? LOL

What year is your IS250 cause that will help alot ?
Are you looking for a particular color or kelvin (ie: 4k,5k,6k ).
Or, whom and where to buy Hid's from ?

" search " is your best friend !!!!

while the "k" does stand for kelvin, it's actually "4000k, 5000k, and 6000k".

to the OP: try looking into the second-gen IS section. if you need help with your HID's, we're going to need more information than just "i want to change my HID's and i need help."

welcome to the 2is owner's club.

buy the kit....HID kits are cheap now a days...i recommend 6k to 10k on ur car would be the best!!!!

if u want it to be concealable get the slim ballast.....but the thick ones are easy to hide too.... goodluck

Its a 2006 IS250 with navi. Thanks for the welcoming. I would like something close to what my TSX had nice and white not too blue.

i was hoping you'd specify whether you can identify whether the low beams of your is250 came w/ oem HID's or halogens, but i guess that begs this question:

did your is250 come with HID or halogen low beams?

if it came w/ oem HID's, you just need to swap the D4S bulbs.

if it came w/ halogens, you need to retrofit a HID system. i don't remember the bulb size, so maybe someone else can chime in on this.

again, welcome to the 2is owners' club, and try looking into the second-gen IS section.

thanks for reading.

Im sorry. New to this whole forum thing. I think they're halogen cause they're white-yellow. I'm hoping to find someone local who has done it so I can feel better knowing it'll be done correctly.

not a problem.

here's the 2is owner's section. you'll find other fellow 2is owners there:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...eneration-163/

and in the 2is owner's section, there's a FAQ (frequently asked question) thread:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...tart-here.html

many of your questions - in addition to your question regarding the low beams - can be answered there.

in section six of the 2is FAQ, you can find this:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-pictures.html

this is for 2is's that do NOT have oem HID's from the factory - as your 2is might be.

however, in the event that your 2is DOES have oem HID's from the factory, this thread will be more useful:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ment-help.html

again, welcome to the 2is owners' club, and try looking into the second-gen IS section.

thanks for reading.
