Speeding ticket :(
So on the recent drive up from LA to NorCal, I got a speeding ticket on the grapevine going 92...before you guys ask why I was going 92 to begin with, let me explain. During the drive up, about 45 minutes out, I began having pains in my stomach, headaches, and even a fever (signs of the stomach flu). Now there aren't any real stops along the grapevine that I know of so I sped up so I could make it to the bottom of the grapevine and stop at the gas station to get water and tylenol. Unfortunately, a cop was camping out there and gave me a speeding ticket. Anyways, I just got the mail today saying I owe a 507 dollar fee and when I checked online, it said I'm not eligible for traffic school. I was wondering if any of you were familiar with any way for me to attend traffic school, online or in person??? Any info would greatly help, as my last two speeding tickets from 2 and a half years ago haven't been cleared off my record yet Thanks in advance!

you are not eligible for traffic school because of your last 2 speeding tickets that have not been cleared. your only choice, i think, is to either pay the ticket, or go to court and contest it.
i mean, you can still sign up and go to traffic school, but it's not going to clear anything off your record. it might make your car insurance a bit cheaper, but i'm not sure it'll make much of a difference with all those speeding tickets already on your record.

You can try fighting it through the mail (Trial by Written Declaration). I tried doing that, but lost.

That is incorrect. Traffic school at this point would wipe the point from your record. He would have to attend the 12 hour course because 8 hours is only allowed once every 18 months. Unlike 8 hours, it remains visibly on your driving record for your insurance company to see but there is no point on your license like I said. Most insurers give you some sort of break if they see you made an effort to have it stricken.

damn 500 bucks...that seriously sucks ***. even though it says unable to attend traffic school a judge can still allow it. youll just have to go to court and ask for some leniency.
