So, I read that you can mount on the lower left driver corner within a 5" square or the lower right passenger corner within a 7" square.
This is under the Senate Bill 1567, the GPS Windshield Safety Act, which was put into effect 1/1/09.
Is this still effective?
Am I correct?

the law that was signed into effect last year (1-1-09) states that you can only (stupidly) place your GPS into the bottom 7" corner of the PASSENGER side of your windshield, or the bottom 5" corner of the DRIVER's side of your windshield. the passenger side is useless tbh, with the driver's side corner useful, but forces the driver to take their eyes off the road in an akward way. center mounting is still "technically" illegal.
I personally prefer Dash mounts. none of that adhesive crap or loose air vent clips though!
Pro-fit makes some good stuff, with a small footprint when your GPS is not attached.
