Default Need brake shops recommendation in Socal

Anyone can recommend me a place to take my car in to replace my brakes? Dealers are expensive and I don't know of any trustworthy place, but I can always trust you guys to point me to a place that give good service. I work in OC, but live in Riverside so any place around those areas would be great.

Thanks.

I just had our brakes done on our 07 ES350 and total brake job was $361.06. Funny thing I found out about the 07 ES350 is that the rear brakes wear out before front ones. Oh by the way the work was done by Lexus Kearny Mesa. The one good thing about having it done by the dealer is: 1) it will get done right and two you get a loaner for the day. I know what you mean about dealers being expensive.

Irvine, between north and south OC

I did a search on the forum and seems like a lot of people are recommending Dynamic Auto. Gonna give it a try.

Kearny Mesa dealership is a little too far for me.

Yeah, I kinda figured that. By the way, which brakes do you need to have replaced? If it is the rear there is a TSB (Tech. Service Buliten) out to have them replace for free by the dealer. I just found it and I called the dealer to see what they say. I might get my money back for my rear brake job.
Don't be surprised that your rear brakes are worn more than your front. According to the Service Tech at the dealer, the ES350's brake system works off pumps and the rear pump supplies more pressure to the rear bake than does the front pump.

Unfortunately, the TSB is for '07-'08 ES350. I have a '02 GS300

I just received a reply back from the dealer and they are claiming that the TSIB is now obsolete.
I'm trying now to get the updated TSIB

What part of Irvine do you work in ?

You may want to call Vtec Auto Repair:

(949) 206-9108
51 Auto Center Dr, #12
Irvine, CA 92618

Honda/Acura and Toyo/Lexus specialists. Off the 5 freeway and bake. I've used them before with good results. All OEM parts. Honest, fair prices and good work. Customer service is kind of on the poor side since they are Chinese, but hey man you don't go to a good Chinese restaurant for the sweet and friendly waiters. LOL

http://**************.ecrater.com/ ( i talk to him directly though, he just put up this website so its not finished yet. )

i just picked up a set of R1 premium rotors and Posi Quiet Pads from him, really good pricing. good brakes too.

i'd say get the brakes and bring it to a friend's place to do the brake job, brakes arent hard to deal with, basic bolt on bolt off done deal.
