Default Clear Bra Installers other than Aerotect

Does anyone have a recommendation for a clear bra installer other than Aerotect in the OC or LA area? They require a $50 deposit to do them on Saturday's and we fell this is not fair.

Does Song's tint do clear bras?

Please do not respond with aerotect; I am looking for other shops other than aerotect. Thank you.

i did my my car initially at aerotect. Didn't want to drive to la verne for my front lip so I went with Scott Kim atAdvance Auto Engineering 1 626 808 7756 . Someone else recommend him on this board. I am satisfied with his work and he was really good on pricing for my lip. He uses the same material as aerotect - ventureshield. I've seen his work on other boards so if you google it up I'm sure you can find them. Make sure you pick up some plexus from him too. he has the large can for a really good price.

Thanks for the mini review. What is plexus? Could you tell any differences between the lip and the rest of your car?

Anyone else?

Nope, that is their policy with any car with no guarantee they will show up. If they expect a $50 deposit then I expect a guarantee that they will be there or I get a free clear bra. IMO, nothing is free in business, if they want to have terms than the customer should also have terms.

I wish I was driving an LS600HL.

Not sure if you are talking about the same Scott Kim that I know.
I have my car and all my buddies cars clear bar done by Scott.
He is an awesome guy! Take his time to work on it!
He did a lot of RARE and EXPENSIVE cars. (FULL CAR CLEAR BAR!!)
Such as AMG, M, R8, Lexus, 911 etc etc. Those full car clear bar is insane!!
I had seen these car parked there and getting their clear bar done by scott.

His price is good too!! Highly recommend Scott.
He located in Alhambra. Mission and Palm. (In between Atlantic and Fremont.)

Why is a $50 deposit not fair when it goes towards the cost of the install and materials? In essesnce, you're securing your time to do the clear bra on a Saturday and shows you're serious to get it done. If anything, many people say they want to come in on a Saturday, the guys at Aerotect wait and end up with a no show.

yeah the same scott kim. No I could not tell the difference between the lip and the older clear bra. Plexus is a plastic cleaner that aerotect and advanced engineering recommend using to apply on the clear bra film.

As for the 50 dollar deposit yeah I would charge it too if I got stood up multiple times. Two guys have to show up and clear their saturdays and if someone flakes then their time is wasted.

Anyways go to where it is closest to you personally. If anything is wrong with the install then you will have to go back to have it fixed.

+1 Saturday is the busiest day and if they clear their schedule for someone and they don't show they lose both their time and money from other potential customers.

I was looking at your list. I was interested in getting some reviews from other people as well. Do you happen to have any testimonials from other people? Those vendors pay you to be on that list

As far as everyone else, business works both ways. If they require a deposit from me I expect something in return. I don't want to show up and have them not be there either.

I would like to get back on topic. Thanks

The same Scott Kim did both of my cars and have been very satisfied with his work. He takes a lot of pride in his work and is very careful. He did a good job on my car using scrap pieces since they don't have a pre-cut kit for it. I was happy with his work that I had him do both the clear bra and the tint on my IS250.

He also did my friend's Bimmer and his FJ.

I highly recommend him!
