Default Fire in YL/Corona

Wow! I never thought that my house in Yorba Linda would be this close to burning down. I guess it might be a good thing I am in Northern California, but I am worried about my family. =(

Anyone else live in this area?

Dozens Of Homes Threatened In O.C.
YORBA LINDA, Calif. (AP) ― Orange County fire officials said at least 12 buildings have burned in a wildfire pushed by high winds.

Christy Romero of the Orange County Fire Authority said the blaze began around 9 a.m. near the 91 Freeway in the neighboring

Riverside County town of Corona and has grown to as many as 1,000
acres.

Televised news reports show at least two homes were scorched in Corona and four were in flames in neighboring Yorba Linda.

Two Corona firefighters were slightly injured when flames engulfed their engine.

Romero said mandatory evacuations are underway and a shelter has
been set up at a Esperanza High School at: 1830 N Kellogg Dr., Anaheim, CA 92807, (714) 779-7870.

Took some pics from my backyard.. I'm in walnut and it's probably 10 - 15 miles out, but you can see the vastness of this fire.

i live in norwalk and all the ash and smoke has reached our sky area. I think it could be that one arsonist that is still at large and linked to multiple wildfires. Three wildfires in corona/yorba linda, selmar, and palos verdes(controlled) is kinda fishy to happen in one day

Make sure you hose off your cars with water. Ash is acidic and can damage your paint.

So my brother's in Vegas and I was left in charge of going to his place and picking up important documents, hard drives, photos and etc. It took me nearly an hour to get from walnut to brea, before they even closed down the 57. Wow, that was insane. Here are photos of my drive with a camera phone.

On pathfinder.

On Harbor

On Lambert

Coming back to Walnut
Associated Rd.

Darkdream I'm sorry to hear about your home, atleast you and your family are okay.

Is your little brother okay? Man thats one of the worst things that can happen, having your house burned down. I hope your whole family is safe, as for the rest of you guys. Hope it gets controlled soon!

Jesus. I am so thankful that I don't work at the Brea Mall any more. When there was that fire in the hills next to the 57, it took me about 2 hours to get from Brea to Walnut. I sure hope everyone is safe and that nobody was hurt. Houses and items can be replaced, but lives cannot.

DarkDream, best of luck to you. I hope your brother is safe.

I'm going to be heading back to my place later tonight to grab some stuff then getting out of there. My Lexus is currently sitting in the garage and it kinda sucks that I won't be able to get it for a while...

I was in Brea around 1pm and cut throught Carbon Canyon to get back home in Walnut but it was bad, traffic in every direction!

Brea is horrible, heard they ran out of water and have only one pumping station, kinda sad!
