Los Angeles Independent Lexus Shops
I don't have any need for repairs or major services at the moment, but I am interested in learning what my options would be if the need arose.
I live on the west side of Los Angeles, California so does anyone know of a reliable independent Lexus or even a Toyota shop in my area? I did not purchase an extended warranty on my SC430, so any expense will have to come out of my pocket. I have an aftermarket warranty on the LS430, but will be needing the 90K service probably next year.
Although the Lexus dealer in Santa Monica is a great place, I would like to know if they have any good competition in the area.

I don't want to share the info, till he finishes the work on my Lexus, because that would be short changing you guys.
He is highly qualified. He has worked on my race Lotus and my single turbo 650HP Lexus for a few years. Lately I have been giving him some fabrication work on the race cars, and he has always been up for the challenge. But all my cars are 4 cyl or 6.
So I took the V8 LS to him 2 days ago, and had him look it over. He can come to my house and work, though he likes to work at his own place.
Only diff is, he likes to take his time. His quality and craftsmanship is top notch. But he wakes up at 12pm, and works all day late into the night.
For example: To do the 90k service and change EVERYTHING plus the brakes, would probably be a 1 or 1.5 days at a Lexus dealer. With him he requested I give him the car Thurs(next week) and pick up Sunday afternoon. So that is 3 days.
Given I have enough cars/bikes to keep me busy, him taking a bit of extra time isn't a problem.
He recently did a full S2000 motor swap in my 1985 Corolla GTS (ae86), and charged 1100$, when all other shops wanted 2500$ for labor. BUt other shops quoted me 1.5 weeks, and he took 3 weeks.
