Default door glass repair place in the SGV area!

so i was in around house parties last night... from pomona to rosemead... i got home late.. knocked out.. woke up and went to my car to see this hideous scratch on my front driver side window!...... it was done on purpose!!! seriously.. what the hell!....its a good size scratch, in pretty deep....

1. is there a way to fix it without replacing the whole glass?
2. where is there shops that deal with this types of repairs
3. i called up longo lexus... they said $381 for the glass.... X_X is there a way to buy that glass at wholesale price or something... im sure the dealership marks it up like crazy!.... X_X

The dealer glass is pretty expensive. You may want to try some of the oem spec glass that glass shops have.

i believe if you pick up a penny saver or hit up a body shop they can refer you to a mobile glass guy. I"m need 1 right now too for my windshield. Cracked when driving to work....got to love the 91/710 freeways.....

i've been calling alot of places.. i found one... its Safelite they're gonna charge me $213.97 for parts and labor and they're gonna do mobile service to my house for free... so with tax i'll be looking at around 240ish... Its not OEM glass, i talked to the guy on the phone, he said it really doesnt matter, all auto glass needs to meet a certain standard, and dealerships dont make their own glass, they buy from another party. so it wouldnt matter too much if its not OEM since the glass is made by the same standards.

call around. imho, get hi and low quotes; then go with the mid-unless you have the funds to go w/the hi. GL

Or, claim ins? it was vandalism.
