Talked to these guys a few weeks back 650 468 3430. Not sure of the shop name. IIRC they said they could get the engine for $1800, labor for $2300 and the harness for $800. It was roughly $5000 out the door. They made it seem like they handled everthing else i.e. hoses, liquids, belts, etc. Someone else might want to call to double check.

Please PM me with what exact you need and need to be done !! Our shop is currently re-modeling for grand-reopening, most likely by May 1st. But I'm sure we can work something out, my tuner and mechanics are doing nothing so....

I have an awesome shop in Van Nuys. Im doin my 1J swap there in a couple weeks. I have done all my swaps over there before (dsm, 240, etc) and does it for dirt cheap. You would probably have to do the wiring, but hes gonna do mine for around 950 to sway the motor and r154 for me.

He used to be the head mechanic at Van Nuys mitsubishi and opened his own shop.

PM me if your interested.

The cheapest way to do the swap on your driveway or in your garage:

* Get the proper front cut
* Hire a mechanic for about $150 a day (2 days max)
* Get all the wiring diagrams and have the mechanic follow the instructions
* Or get a friend with 1JZ swap and match the wiring from his car.

Save thousands......

SP Engineering has done many 2JZ swaps IIRC. They are well known.

im down to help/learn. im like 95% sure that im going to do a 2jz gte swap in my is300. its currently turbo'd but i was thinking to get my motor build but rather do the gte swap. prolly a pain but long run, its better.
