Unhappy Lunch time souvenir

We stopped for lunch and found this new body work. The guy was putting the note on my car as we walked up so we exchanged contact info. Glad it wasn't some bump run deal. Still this being the wife's car, she wanted to

It's going to be a PITA, now I need to get estimates, drop that car off and hopefully the shop is good enough to not add anything new...curb rash the wheels, get the inside all dirty, ding it in another spot...

What body shop would you guys suggest?

Where in LA are you? My best friends dad has a body shop in van nuys, near all the dealerships. He does very good work and they are very professional. They always wash/wax and detail the car before you take delivery. They have worked on all of my cars and I have never had any instances of curb-age, other damage, or the car coming back dirtier… in fact the car always comes back looking 10X better

First estimate is a few bucks short of $1,400!

Such a PITA to do all this...when I call his insurance co. I'm going to request a bit extra for the gas and lost time.

where are you located? i would recommend going through your insurance's preferred bodyshops - you usually get the benefit of a lifetime warranty on the work.

I looked at that L-Sportline kit in the LS section...Pure...that's one for you.

My alter ego would like a body kit but it already scrapes on the driveway going in-out. Anything more would a PITA. The next couple days I'll be looking and I'd like the rear emblem holes filled and if it's not too much $$ more, monotoned.

I'm in Cerritos so if you have a good shop in the general area ...please let me know.

$1400 is a rip, but then again a shop wanted $2,300 for the left front fender on my LS400.

It's a pain, but at leat he stayed around. Says something about his character though not his driving. I would say 90% of people in Southern Cal would have left. Someone hit my GS in a parking lot with his Cadi a few years ago and left. But...he did it in full view of the employees at his insurance company where he stopped to make a payment. BUSTED! I had a check in no time.
$1400.00 is not too unreasonable. Can me fixed for less, but why chance it. Make sure whereever you go removed the bumper to fix it and not spray the paint while the bumper is installed.

Where did you take yours when you had the paint done and that other boo-boo?
