Just went to Felix Continental at the Orange Circle.

Great Cuban-Spanish restaurant for dirt cheap prices. Almost everything in the menus is $10, and the plates are big enough to feed two people. Great place for locals; none of the Disney tourists know about it...

Felix is good and there is a new Mexican restaurant on Glassell just south of the Army Navy Store that is awesome called Gabby's. Citrus City Grill (opposite/north side of Glassel) is very good as well.

Here is an old thread talking about fine dining in SoCal: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ght=mastro%27s

Favorite South OC haunts:

Spasso's (Italian food) in Laguna Niguel
Stadium Brewing Co. in Aliso Viejo
Salt Creek Grille in Dana Point
Coyote Grille in Laguna Beach
Las Brisas in Laguna Beach

For a less formal meal, I always like:

Thai BBQ - been going here since i was a kid...the shrimp fried rice is great. Locations in Cerritos, Fullerton, LA...etc.
Hawaiian Loft - Good food, large portions. Cerritos
Tokyo Terriaki - Good & cheap terriaki bowls. Chicken is tender and has its own flavor, doesnt rely on the terriaki sauce. Buena Park diagonally across from Knotts
Hurry Curry - Japanese curry. very good and curry is put in a different bowl so you can use as little or as much as you would like. Old Town Pasadena, next to cheese cake factory
Louises Tratoria (sp?) - Fresh italian food, better quality than chesecake factory or olive garden and alot cheaper. Old Town Pasadena across from chesecake factory & other locations i think
Canters - Jewish Deli, known for their pastrami sandwhiches. huge sandwhiches, open 24 hours. (used in the carls jr pastrami burger commercial) LA on Fairfax
Spikes - Good terriaki bowls. Cheap. right in front of CSULB in long beach
Felix continental - already mentioned. Great place. Downtown Orange
The diner across from felix continental (across from hot skates co.) - Very 50's great food. diner/pharmacy. Used in "That Thing You Do". Downtown orange
Castway - Good brunch buffet. On a hill with nice view of the SFV and downtown LA Skyline. In burbank
India Cookhouse - Indian Buffet, always gives me the ****s but worth it! haha. Fullerton
Gen Kai Sushi - Very fresh and chefs decorate plates. Sushi is as good as it looks. Try the Sushi Burrito! Dana Point
Cal Beach Sushi - all you can eat for $22(?) always packed. Rockin roll sushi atmosphere. Newport Beach
more when i can think of it...

It use to be a family tradition to go there after church every sunday. But now that everyone is grown up, hardly anyone has the time to go there as a family
