I just wanted to bump this thread to help anybody else looking for a good lexus mechanic in San Diego, and say thanks to all those that contributed to the list of reputable shops.
I went with Cartune Auto Repair (located in the same building as Pann Auto) to get my cylinder head gasket replaced due to an overheating engine.
And after testing the car for a few weeks since the fixes, I can safely say they did a good job.
I'd definitely recommend them to anybody else looking for a Lexus mechanic. Also noted, BJ, who's one of the shop owners, also owns a 2g GS300 with around 300,000+ miles (you wouldn't know it by looking at his car though).

I have been to TLC countless times and I also use Elite Service Center http://www.eliteservicecenter.com/ (858) 381-0303. Both companies are straight shooters.

San Diego Lexus mechanic (preferably north county)
My car needs serviced. Needs oil change. Check VSC is on. Car has stalled on me several times now. Anyone have a trusted mechanic in the area? Prefer someone Lexus certified and really knows these cars.

I tried calling Elite Lexus Service center today and noone answered the phone. Also sent them an email acquiring info and pricing on their services and no reply yet.
