I just wanted to bump this thread to help anybody else looking for a good lexus mechanic in San Diego, and say thanks to all those that contributed to the list of reputable shops.
I went with Cartune Auto Repair (located in the same building as Pann Auto) to get my cylinder head gasket replaced due to an overheating engine.
And after testing the car for a few weeks since the fixes, I can safely say they did a good job.
I'd definitely recommend them to anybody else looking for a Lexus mechanic. Also noted, BJ, who's one of the shop owners, also owns a 2g GS300 with around 300,000+ miles (you wouldn't know it by looking at his car though).
Going to move this to the regional section, as that is where it will get the most views for your specific area!
Glad you found someone knowledgeable and capable!

My car needs serviced. Needs oil change. Check VSC is on. Car has stalled on me several times now. Anyone have a trusted mechanic in the area? Prefer someone Lexus certified and really knows these cars.

Lexus dealer service without the Lexus dealer PRICE. Everyone who works here are from Lexus, even down to their receptionist. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Any Toyota product, and other Asian makes.
