My wife's Rx300 2001 was in an accident. It was salvage by the Insurance Co. I bought it back and repaired it.
It has 47k miles todate.

My Navigation was working very good. When I turned it on the navigation would place me where I was at the time.

My original toyota battery went dead and I had the Auto Club change my battery with a new one. The driver placed a device in my cigarette lighter. He told me it was to protect the computer of my car. It drove fine. Three days later, my navigation started to place me 50 mile from where I was.

I took the car to a dealer, who told me I needed an upgrade on my DVD disk. I bought the disk and they charged me $57.00 labor to replace the old disk with the new disk. They also told me the it needed to be recalibrated and the total cost to me was $384.00.

What can I do to fix the problem , I have take my grandkids for a vacation about 300 miles from my home.

did you get the new dvd disk?

only thing i can think of is resetting everything. Unplug the battery and wait a few minutes, then put it back together.
