Why do you want "cheap"? You want good.

oh ok thanks guys. But what I meant was like the best for its price or if someone could hook me up with like an employee discount of some sort. I don't want to over pay for some body shop to do just a little bit better job then somewhere that is a lot cheaper. But again thx I'll call around and see.

Hey if I decide to go through my insurance(Farmers) can I choose what body shop I want to get it fixed at? And also, is it worth going through my insurance if the total damage of both vehicles I have to pay for is over 2grand? Or should I just pay in cash and avoid raising my insurance(my first accident)? Thanks again

Since a lot of CL members are currently going to Backyard Creations in El Monte I would probably start with them. Speak with Joe and inform him that you were referred by members of CL. Tell him your situation and he may know best what actions to take since he deals with insurance claims. He will be upfront with you. Good luck.

(1) I'm not too sure about how Farmers insurance work, but AAA simply wrote me a check and I used my own chosen body shop.
(2) Check your policy and find out your deductible $ and what covers and not. Possible, insurance might write you a check and forget about re-pairing (if the damages cost more than car value).
(3) Most body shops are pretty reasonable with $$$, but how cheap you have in mind ?

Good luck to you !
