Oh man, what honestly possessed you to move to Bakersfield??? I lived there for 7 years until I began my undergrad at UC Irvine. It's a town that's located in the middle of a desert, but give it some time...you'll get used to it. I do come home from time to time, but that's only during the major holidays. But yeah, not awhole lot of CL members in Bakersfield. Oh yeah, on top of that...if you ever need anything from the Lexus dealership, don't talk to Daryl....mans a freaking idiot....talk to Mike, he's the sevice department manager...he'll help you out!

Actually Bakersfield is not that bad. I live in the Rosedale North West area and its nice, I like it. How long ago did you come by ? Actually, Bakersfield is grown alot and its still growing, it is not as small as it used to be. If I compare Bakersfield to the city I previously live in, which is Oxnard, CA, Bakersfield is close to being 4X larger than Oxnard.

Just for everyones comparison of how big Bakerfield is, Oxnard has 1 Home Depot, Bakersfield has 3, Oxnard has 1 Target, Bakersfield has 3, Oxnard has 0 Lowes, Bakersfield has 2, Oxnard has 1 Wal-Mart, Bakersfield has 3, Oxnard has 0 movie theaters, Bakersfield has 4, the list goes on and on. Of course, there is a Best Buy, Circuit City, Sears, Babies R Us, Toys R US, JC Penny, Abercrombie & Finch, Robisons May, GottsChalks, Macys, Target Greatland, Wal-Mart Supercenters, Costco, many Ralphs, Albersons, Vons, etc...
