Another wild thought was their Ontario Canada plant but that would be one heck of a comitted drive. Much like how the anniversary Corvette meet they held at the plant. Getting even further out, we can go to Japan.

(It is a hot day and I've been in the heat too long.)
Sounds like a reasonable plan (the Toyota museum/Queen Mary thing). But Japan? Unless you're planning to be super generous and provide some of the less wealthier members with plane tix (i.e. moi ), I think we should grab our swimsuits and head out right now so we can meet up with the members who can afford to fly there.

Mike, I think you need to sit back and have a nice cold one.

Edit: Oh, almost forgot. The meet was a blast (even though it was Death Valley hot , again), thanks to Jay, Hiro, and Stef for hosting this event.

It would be great for CL to head over to Japan. I thought I saw a trip planned in Sport Compact Car in conjunction with a drift event... At minimal I'd guess it is a $2,500 shot. LOL...if I had that kind of $$ floating about...

I'm working with the TORC coordinators to involve CL in the planning commitee for next year 2005. I can arrange that same Toyota museum tour. I've done it several times for TeamSC3 in the past. I miss those days when we were allowed to open up and sit in the cars. Especially the Supra and GS400 pace cars...I miss turning on those wheelin strobes! Those cars are now gone from the collection.

As for asking Toyota to use one of their lots...it won't happen unless someone there gives us a chance which is slim to none. Lots of politics involved. Been there done that. As for a Carson event...i'm trying to push Steve to do it at that same park @ the Queen Mary if not this year...at least for next year.

I had not driven by Toyota HQ in over a decade...the place is huge compared to what I remember it as. Seeing those large parking lots...I thought to myself...oh what a perfect place to hold a meet. Understand the politics thing... A meet combined with TORC...that sounds good.

I didn't use the "facilities" at the TORC meet...were those the portable types or was it in the ferrry building?

Talk about a delayed response. But anyways great meet you held Jay. I always have a fun time the multiples times I have come along to your meets. Even though I keep brining my 240 to a lexus meet. lol

Also thanks for the good shot of my car of whoever taken it!

Also sorry Jay about the messed up drift when I was leavivng that I messed up really bad on it. lol

street drift is bad habit mine

Won't happen again.

I messed up so bad. I just put in my powerFC standalone 2 days ago and it changed my power band and gave it more power low end and I was expecting it to kick that hard.
