Default Paint or vinyl my grill surround... Any recommendations? Where?

I'm getting a new chrome grill surround for my 2IS and i'm debating whether to vinyl wrap it gloss black or paint it black. i've been getting mixed feeback on each of the two options so im kinda confused now. any owners out there that can give me some feedback?

and most importantly, do you know of any shops that can do a quality job on it (either painting or wrapping). amazingly i've called up how many shops in town and they dont paint single car parts, and as for the vinyl shops they tell me to get it painted... one shop said he'll paint it but he was just going to use a rattle can. if thats the case i might as well rattle can it myself, but first and foremost i want to leave the painting to the experts. any suggestions? thanks in advance for the help.

have you looked into plastidip??? you can spray it on and peel if off if you dont like it...
the bad thing is that chips will show pretty fast...but then you can get a feel for it before actually changing it...

if you need a body shop, call mike ji over at GX auto:

tell um cary sent you...

as for wrapping, have you thought about trying it yourself???
if you have the right vinyl and a good blow dryer, you can do it... it's not very hard...
this is what flat black vinyl looks like:

personally, i would wrap it... if you want, you can always take it off...

Thanks HyperMKIV! Mucho appreciation for the info! As for plastipdip and vinyl, I've tried doin both. The grill is currently plastidip'd but im getn tired of the matte rough finish. I've also tried vinyling it myself but i guess the gloss black vinyl i bought was cheap because it would not conform to the curves of the grill. I tried blowdrying it and all so it would melt and conform, but the material was too thick that it would just fold up on the curves. By that time i said screw it, i'll have a professional do it. Thanks for the contact, i'll try hittin him up!

Sick ISF btw!

Considering how weak vinyl is (I work with high-grade 3M product), I would paint it.

Sean at Auto Trim next door to Revision can do it either way, I'm pretty sure. At least that's what he told me.

I had mine painted properly at a body shop but I think they were doing me a favor by doing it. Probably too much hassle for such a little job if the shop is busy.
