12/6/08 - Toys for Tots CRUISE
Well its the holiday season of giving. I have gotten word that the annual Toys for Tots cruise has been changed and the drop off point will be on base at MCBH between 11am-1pm. Details will be updated as I get them.
I would like to get a head count of people that are interested in attending so that I can coordinate with the event coordinator and the Marines.
**Please bring a new, unopened toy to be donated to the Toys for Tots.

WHEN: 12/6/2008, Saturday
Meetup: 8:00am (to secure CLH parking and get base passes)
TIME: 10:30AM ROLLOUT
WHERE: K-Mart Kapolei
ROUTE: TBA, Cruise route TBD in this thread
ON BASE: Meet at admin bldg, drop off at the "flagpole" and head out, due to Nat'l Sec.

**REMINDER: THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO EVERYONE. WE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE MARINES, TOY4TOTS, AND MOST IMPORTANT...THE KIDS THAT WILL GET THESE TOYS!!!
**WE ARE ALSO BEING ENCOURAGED TO PURCHASE OUR TOYS AT THE K-MART, KAPOLEI IN EXCHANGE FOR ALLOWING US TO GATHER IN THEIR PARKING LOT

I always wanted to go out to an event and this seems pretty cool especially since its for the kids! Question though...I've always wanted to see all your guys and girls pimped out rides, but have never came to a CL event (starbucks or C&C, etc..), but do I need an invitation or something? How does this work?!
look at the starbucks thread and watch for c&c ones

I'll be there I always look forward to this event. Hey Todd as soon as you get more info let me know so I can post it on the Audi forums to get them to come out too. The Vdub guys are also looking to do this event.

ALSO... we discourage members from participating in street racing, in other words do not goto the 11pm meet ups at DHC/SLC where ppl like to 'RUNUMHARD' on public roads. Of course you can goto those meets too but in consideration to us, dont ask for our sticker.

1st post updated. I just got off the phone with "Kokomo", who is organizing this event. He's part of the Vdub Club, so I know they're in. Porsche, Stang, HPM, VW, CL, are just a few clubs committed to the kids.
If anyone else can help us out and spread the word about this event, the KIDS will definitely appreciate it. BUT, to make things easy, please direct any and all inquiries to:

REMEMBER, this event is open to the entire public, no car club affiliation required. Just remember to bring a new unwrapped "present" for the kids.
