Why don't you guys organize yourself into a new Chicago Lexus Club? This forum is for you and there is already a Chicago Lexus Club on Facebook with 50 members. The problem with the current Chicago Lexus Club is that there is no leadership or someone that joins people together.
I started Chicago Lexus Club in 2001 and went through a few generations of members before much like all the other members that disappeared, I also disappeared because I didn't have much spare time. So without a leader, there is nobody to manage the organization and get the people together.
Here are some facts:
- IS people follow IS people and have more time because they tend to be younger
- In general Lexus owners tend to be older and most won't attend meets
- It's hard to bring people together and keep track of them
- Managing costs money too sometimes like organizing BBQs
I would be happy to hand over the control of the forums if a new group organized themselves. Unfortunately few people tried to make money off of Chicago Lexus Club in the past so I retained ownership to protect everyone.

Forgive my ignorance, as I simply wasn't aware of these facts.
I, myself am older (34) but still think it's be pretty cool to catch up with other Lexus owners. But I absolutely understand the lack of time and desire to meet up when many people have other responsibilities. Personally I have never been to a car meet before and its seems that its obviously more involved than I would have thought. I for one do not have the time to invest in such a venture.
I'll take a look at the two club on FB and see whats going on. Maybe if things are split up amongst members, things could be a bit more organized. Just an assumption.
Thanks for that feedback though, I learned something from this post.

Back in 2008-09 we had some decent get togethers. At that time Lexus Corp was wanting to promote more car culture and eventually F-Sport type mentality.
But yeah, that all seemed to have dried up these days.
I am back on here after several years. Wanting to update the brakes on my IS250 to either IS350 or aftermarket etc... Nice to the the website as a whole is doing well. Plenty of DIY and advice. But you have to put in as much as you take when possible.
