How can I get started in Autocross in the Chicago Area?

I'm in the western suburbs and I'm looking to get started in autocross sometime soon. I know the SCCA has autocross sessions at the Route 66 Raceway, but I don't know how to sign up or anything. I have probably the worst car in the world for it, but I'd like to know how I could get started when I do get a faster car. Thanks for any help!
