May be a dumb question but will driving in -19 (-45 windchill) cause car issues?

Depends on the car.

Make sure to warm up the car for a few minutes tomorrow before you start driving. Supposed to be below zero.

Yes of course. I am driving a well maintained IS 250. I read information online (anecdotal) that temperatures of -20 could crack an engine block. Not sure how true this is and since my car would be sitting in the parking lot at work all day I was curious.

Sure can, but most people don't start their car and then immediately run it up to top speed in -20f weather.

Crack an engine block? More like crack a radiator.

Thanks for the replies. My car was fine. No block crack or anything of the sorts.

Now if someone can help me with my tires issue (see other thread on new tires, pulls and shakes at 80+).
