2009+ Front GFX Lip Install Help For ISX50
Had this lip for 3 years and always had to reinstall it every year because I did not drill it into the bumper but used 3m tape instead. This tape holds maybe for the first few months but over time parts of it doesn't stick. The proper way to install it is to drill but I do not trust myself.
Does anyone know how to install this properly? or know a shop that can? LMK ASAP PLZ
Thank you, Alex

I don't recall having to drill anything on my aftermarket front lip and the few OEM's we installed in my garage? It should use the OEM holes once you remove that lower piece from the front bumper. The sides, by the front wheel, I thought it was a self tap screw and there is a dimple mark (or used to be) for you to line it up.
I agree with Gytis that stuff works wonders. He helped me on one of my cars and that stuff did the trick

^^^ On the facelifted IS, there's no lip on the bumper anymore so there's no holes to use to mount the GFX lip.
But adhesive promoter does work. I used a little and my rear lip has been on for a year now. Even after backing up onto a curb, scrapping it in the parking lot at work, it's still stuck on good. Good body shops use adhesive promoter along with tape.
If you want it drilled, I can see if the one of the mechanics at McGrath Lexus would want to do it for you and for how much since I work there?

hes got a lot on his plate right now...
Not sure if you tried this member or not??
Linus73 (Steve) could probably also help at his shop? I would think a few self tapping screws/bolts will do the trick but I haven't touched a newer IS. I would offer to help but I'm a far drive for something that won't take much time. PM and see if he can help or has someone that can do a side job.
