I registered when Lexus Events sent me an email annoucement. I went online to register soon after the eMail came in. You try calling the toll free 888 number to be put on waiting list. I called them to add a guest after I registered and they approved over the phone. So, there may be a way to "squeeze" in.

When I test drove a GS at the Dealership here in Rockford, the sales guy mentioned about this and said he can get me in. Then when I told him I need some time to think about the new GS he "forgot" all about the event.

That was a blast! A lot of fun! I'll be at this one too... Maybe I'll get to take the LFA for a test drive... home...

Well, I was there at 10:15am in the drizzle rain. Boy was it worth the trip! There were 6 sessions. 1) Meet at clubhouse and have breakfast and meet with Lexus org on GS F Sport model on display. Vendors present, Sonos, Pandora Radio, Tag Heuer, and Bridgestone, 2) Attend GS PowerPoint presentation and safety training, 3) Drive GS F Sport while following "pace car" on 1.5 mile track, 4) Test drive competitive models against GS. Had BMW 5 Series, and Mercedes E class, 5) Auto-cross GS F Sport on Solomon course for best track time. Winner of each group gets to ride in LFA with professional driver., 6) Have lunch and meet with vendors.
First of all, I loved that this was ZERO cost to me. I like the follow pace car because you could test the different 2013 GS sport modes. Since track was wet, I was able to 'slide" the GS. In performed very well.
Liked the competitive comparison. Although the track was VERY short. The GS was the best. BMW too manual, Mercedes too soft, GS just right.
Then off to the Autocross. I was in group # 3, and had best time!! Thus I got to ride in LFA with professional driver around 1.5 mile track twice. What a THRILL. Since it was a short track with many turns, he only got the LFA up to 119 miles per hr.
Lastly, sat down for lunch. All in all, a great day. Pics attached.
