Wow! It's great to see Chicago Lexus Club doing so well!

I had a couple questions for you all-

1. What is the best place around to get your windows tinted? Car Boutique in Wheeling wants $290 for all 5, but some AB automotive place near O'Hare quoted me $200. Opinions?

2. What's the best place to check out affordable rims?

well as far as tint goes you end up paying for quality. not sure what car boutique sells or their quality but your better off getting a recommendation from a friend. Now as for the rims you might want to try some of the wheel vendors here on CL cause they have a more quality rims and you also get the CL discount. or you could just try tirerack.com and you can see what the rims look like on the car. good luck

i know this might not help much but the previews on tirerack dont do justice to the rims and car usually (wether the rims are crap or not)

Anyone know a guy in a lime green SC? i just saw him pass by me around niles. if your on here, no offense but get a new paint job

I was just going to say, I was around niles few days ago, but then again, my car isn't lime green but jade green.

heh, im talkin bright green, something close to that color the eclipse in F&F has. i dunno if it was a 3 or 400 but looking at it made me sad

Car Boutique does a good job, but their prices on basically everything are outrageous.

I'm in Wilmette (about 3 min from Old Orchard Mall).

Thanks for the suggestions. Car Boutique definately is expensive, they even quoted me some bogus price of around $250 to install springs.

I'm going to look into this AB automotive place for tint, see what they can do.


Are there any good shops in my area...I know there is Driver's Image and Body Werks, but I hear they are both expensive as well and don't tint windows?

actually my car is over at Body Werks now Larry has good pricing.......but they don't do tint. Drivers Image has good pricing on some stuff. Lot's o' ricer stuff. I don't really know of any shops that far north. just a few here in the city.

250 dollars to install springs sounds about right. They say it's about 4 hours of labor. To be honest it takes 2 hours.

dude, there is this place in arlington heights, called RADIO ACTIVE
give them a call and ask about window tinting.

there is a guy there named john. he was going to do all 5 of my window, mirrored style for 200$, but i pussed out and decided to save my money. hes one of my friends, friends. he also does custom paint murals on cars, but thats not my thing. but he does good work and for 200$....
