New(ish) MRM IS350 Owner, total n00b at Detailing...help!
So I got an 06 MRM 350 at the end of January at Lexus of Naperville. It looked great but has a tiny bit of swirls starting. I've never detailed a car myself and in fact rarely wash it myself. When I get it washed, I at least know not to go to an auto wash where they use those big brushes that basically just scratch the hell out of it.
ANYWAYS, long request short, I'm wondering if there is anyone in the Chicago/Chicagoland area that owns detailing tools that would be willing to detail my car with me (showing me what the hell I'm supposed to do!). I'd definitely be willing to pay for whatever is needed, the amount of time spent and pay for a couple sixers!

Like I said, clay is used to primarily remove imperfections in paint such as tar, tree sap, and also light scratches. If the paint is all swirled up, an orbital or wet sanding is needed. This should not be a mystery to you. I have worked with all paint types.

If claying removed light scratches, this door wouldn't look like this after claying.
