My V1 saved me this morning. I was coming down a street right by my work that has had a construction sign on it all week. Thanks to the V1's arrows and "bogey counter" i noticed that instead of the typical 1 hit from straight ahead, i am getting 2 hits from straight ahead. Sure enough parked right next to the construction sign is mr. piggy.

Did you see me flash you last week? I think I saw your head turn when I passed you. I think I saw you again a couple days ago in the morning.

I've had the K40 for almost a year now and it has been pretty good. No tickets (knock on wood). Like Vik said about the V1, it goes off constantly so it can get annoying. I've heard nothing but good things about the V1 so I think either are pretty valuable around here. I wouldn't recommend locking out "dead" zones b/c cops know there is false radar and will sit there all day and clock you and your radar won't even chirp.
Good luck with the decision

Next Friday we may be meeting up at Boston Blackies for lunch. How much time do you get for lunch? What time is good?

It locks out the exact coordinates AND the exact frequency. The cop would have to somehow figure out the exact frequency of the radar in the sign and literally sit on top of it. Haven't had a problem yet (knock on wood).
You have to pass by it 3 times or you can manually store it by pressing the mute button twice.
